Myoclonal´s CNIC team, together with other CNIC researchers, has participated in the organization and presentation of Cardioguía, a dissemination event focused on educating the public about risk factors of cardiovascular disease and its prevention, celebrated last week at CNIC.

Cardioguía hosted talks by Myoclonal members Jose Javier Fuster and Benedetta Izzi, talking about clonal hematopoiesis and epigenetics, in addition to talks about other cardiovascular risk factors, and healthy habits to prevent cardiovascular disease.

In addition, an itinerary to learn about healthy habits and diagnostic imaging techniques was implemented at CNIC facilities. As part of this itinerary, Myoclonal members Benedetta Izzi, Miriam Díez and Bea López Ramos-Neble explained to attendants how lifestyle impacts cardiovascular health and how we can evaluate our cardiovascular risk looking at our daily habits.

This activity is part of several research projects, funded by MCIN/AEI, NextGenerationEU, “programa talento” – Comunidad de Madrid, Fundación “La Caixa” and Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
